Amsodent Medical

Custom ecommerce platform for medical distribution

August 2026 — ongoing

A dental and medical supply distributor had outgrown WooCommerce, which could not express how the business actually sells. We built the platform around its real rules: approved professional pricing, lots and expiry dates, partial shipments and returns that land back in the ledger correctly.

The problem

A dental and medical supply distributor was running on WooCommerce, which could not express how the business actually sells: professional pricing that has to be approved per customer, volume tiers, lot and expiry tracking, partial shipments, and returns that have to land back in the ledger correctly rather than as a note someone remembers to make.

What we built

A purpose-built platform on Next.js and PostgreSQL, with storefront and back office on one database. Payments through Transbank Webpay Plus with idempotency, reconciliation and administrative refunds, plus manual bank transfer reconciled from the back office. Professional pricing by approval, volume tiers, promotions and coupons applied consistently from catalogue to order. Advanced inventory with per-order reservations, lots and expiry dates, FEFO picking, opt-in backorders per SKU and an audited stock ledger. Partial shipments by package and physical returns with restock and write-off. First-party analytics with a privacy centre and automatic retention.

The result

Migrated from WooCommerce with search-oriented addresses and redirects from every legacy one, so the catalogue kept the authority it had already earned. The operation now runs on rules the software enforces instead of rules people have to remember.
